Through The Gaps
Chloe Hunter
Through the Gaps is a photographic project that explores the resilience of nature as it reclaims manmade spaces within urban environments. The images focus on small, often overlooked moments where plants and natural life emerge through built surfaces, such as these tiled floors, that we rarely notice in everyday life. By documenting these subtle details, the project highlights how nature persists and is repetitive despite human intervention. These moments symbolise how natural processes continue beneath structures designed to control or conceal them. Through this work, I aim to encourage viewers to reconsider the impact of urban development on the natural world and reflect on the ongoing tension between human construction and ecological resilience, recognising that nature is never fully separate from the spaces we inhabit.
